The Yo-Yo Intermittent Test assesses endurance using a framework akin to sports such as soccer, basketball, and other stop-and-go vigorous activities.

This application enables you to perform the following tests:
<ul>
<li>The Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test, Level 1 and Level 2</li>
<li>The Yo-Yo Intermittent Endurance Test, Level 1 and Level 2</li>
</ul>
As outlined by Jens Bangsbo from the University of Copenhagen (December 1994).

It provides:
<ul>
<li>Voice cues or customizable ringtones</li>
<li>Time to shuttle halfway point</li>
<li>Time to next speed level</li>
<li>Time during recovery</li>
<li>Distance covered (including shuttles) and elapsed time</li>
</ul>

After completion, the application presents:
<ul>
<li>The achieved Level</li>
<li>Total distance covered</li>
</ul>

Note: An approximate estimation of VO2Max is offered for Recovery Level 1 only if at least 1000m (level 15.6) has been covered.

Please note that this application does not support direct result saving (this feature is available in the Pro version); however, you can capture results using a screenshot (simultaneously press power + lower volume buttons).

Typical results for Yo-Yo IR1 test [Bangsbo et al. (2008)]:

<li>Male (Soccer): International level - 2420 m; Elite level - 2190 m; Moderately trained - 1810 m</li>
<li>Female (Soccer): International level - 1600 m; Elite level - 1360 m; Sub-elite - 1160 m</li>
</ul>
